Floyd Haley - Board of Directors

He was born in St. Stephen and except for three years due to work committments has spent all his life in St Stephen. Floyd and his wife Lorna have been married for 40 years and have two children , Jeff & Lori who are both in the Education profession . Floyd and Lorna have four grandchildren and are very pleased that three live in St Stephen and the other is only as far away as Saint John. An employee with the Provincial Government who retired after 36 years in the Engineering field with the Department of Transportation, he has just completed a three year appointment as Chairperson of the Family Income Security Appeals Board.

As a resident of St Stephen , he has always been active in Community affairs. He served on Town Council for six years and while on Council served as Chairperson of Streets Water & Sewer Department , Chairperson of the St Stephen Health Resource Committee , member of the Arena Board , a member of the Recreation Advisory Committee and a member of the Charlotte County Civic Center.

In addition to Council related committees he served as President of The St. Croix Golf and Country Club and was on the Board of Directors at the St. Croix Golf Club for 10 years , he served as a Governor of the New Brunswick Golf Association for 10 years, was a coach in the St. Stephen Minor Hockey system for 10 years and is presently on the Board of Trustees of The Maria F. Ganong Seniors Residence [ Loniceria Hall ] and is President of the St. Stephen High School Alumni Association.

Floyed has been an active participant in sports over the years and has played on Championship teams in Soccer , Basketball , Baseball , Hockey and has even won the odd Golf tournament. He now enjoys gardening , wood working , playing pool at Dooly’s , Golfing and spending time with his grandchildren, in addition to his Directorship with the Charlotte County Civic Centre.
