Allan Gillmor - Board of Directors

Allan Gillmor, a native of St. Stephen, recently joined the Charlotte County Civic Centre Board of Directors after returning to the office of Mayor in the 2007 by-election, an office he held from 1989 to 2001. He and his wife Susan have raised seven children, all of whom have been involved with the arena or the pools in the community. Allan holds degrees from St. Francis Xavier University and the University of New Brunswick and retired from a teaching career of thirty-two years in 1999. Always interested in his community, he has acted as Chair or President of the following groups: The St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chocolate Museum Operating Committee, Ste-Croix 2004 Coordinating Committee, St. Stephen Development Board, Charlotte County Historical Society Inc., Charlotte Heritage Regions, Border Area Community Arena Inc., Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Charlotte County, Holy Rosary Parish Council and 2nd St. Stephen Group Committee, Scouts Canada. As Mayor and board member, Allan looks forward to the completion of the Charlotte County Civic Centre, making a good community even better.
